I actually saw Emilie M Bender make a point that letting a program distill and synthesize knowledge gets in the way of actually learning.

What's your take on that?

It'll definitely lead to shallow knowledge if you 100% rely on it, but it's a fast way for beginners to get started.

Anything that gets people half way into doing something will encourage them to learn their way to finishing what they started. It'll be pretty helpful for encouraging people going from needing a small script to something more complicated because of all the things they'll need to learn along the way in order to actually make use of the output it gives you.
